1. Describe
This is a painting of bright, multi-colored road going off into the distance. On either side of it are bright purple hills that get progressively darker as the road begins to fade away. On each hill are bright red trees with no leaves on them. The sky is bright blue and cloudless.
2. Analyze
The shapes in this painting are more organic than geometric. None of the shapes have perfectly straight lines so they are mainly organic. The colors used in this painting are mostly bright but are darker in parts of the background. This painting mainly uses cool colors however there are warm colors mixed in as well, such as on the road and the trees.
3. Interpret
There is a good chance the original painter just intended this to be a picture of a road going off into the distance, which is the case with many paintings and photographs. When I first looked at the picture, the bright colors on the road and trees almost reminded me of Candy Land, but I'm not sure that was the artist's original intent.
4. Judgment
I like this painting for the most part because it uses a wide array of warm and cool colors and it is a fairly interesting picture. Also, I like the swirls that were made in the hills along the sides of the hills. The parts that I don't like are that the picture is a little basic and some of the colors did not blend together well and made ugly colors.
